Description

Explore the world of South Indian cuisine. From sambars to dosas and chutneys, South Indian cooking is fragrant, enlivening, nourishing and almost totally vegetarian. In addition, the class will provide an overview of pantry items that are fundamental to Southern Indian cooking: tamarind, asafetida and curry leaves. Students will learn how these items are basic to the regional cuisine, and how to incorporate them into their daily cooking. Class concludes with a festive, vegetarian Indian feast.

All classes are hands-on and end with a seated meal unless otherwise stated. Wine is served in class.
