Tangy BBQ Slow Roasted Salmon with Avocado Salsa

Salmon and our Tangy BBQ sauce go perfectly together, especially when topped with a fresh, zesty avocado salsa.

Chef's Tip: Slow roasting salmon on a lower temperature keeps it from drying out. It still takes less than an hour, and the tender, flaky fish is worth the extra couple minutes of waiting!

Ingredients

  • 1 (2lb) skinless salmon fillet, preferably center-cut

  • Olive oil

  • Haven’s Kitchen Tangy BBQ Sauce

  • 3 large ripe avocados, diced

  • 1 pint cherry tomatoes, quartered

  • 1 small red onion, chopped

  • 1 handful of fresh cilantro, chopped

  • 1 to 2 medium jalapeños, seeded and minced (if sensitive to spice, use just 1 or omit)

  • 2 limes, to juice

  • Salt

Steps

Step 1

Preheat oven to 275°F while you let the salmon temper for 10 minutes

Step 2

Add a glug of olive oil to a baking dish. Lay the salmon in, and rub all over with ½ pouch of Tangy BBQ. Then drizzle with another glug of olive oil

Step 3

Roast the salmon for about 35-40 minutes, until a knife easily cuts through the middle

Step 4

Meanwhile, make the salsa by combining the rest of the ingredients, toss gently to keep the avocado from getting mushy. Season with salt, to taste

Step 5

Once the salmon is cooked, serve it topped with the salsa and more Tangy BBQ sauce
