Turning kitchens into havens.

When we founded the Haven’s Kitchen Cooking School in New York City in 2012, our goal was to make cooking more fun and a lot easier, with classes that help people really cook, not just follow recipes. Same went for our cookbook. And now, we’re making fresh, squeezable sauces and flavor starters to open up a world of delicious possibilities for everyone.

You’ve got the power.

Your kitchen should be a place where you can be creative, calm, indulgent, inspired, fulfilled, and most importantly, yourself.

That’s our vision.

Wherever we go with Haven’s Kitchen, we’ll always be building tools to power your potential in the kitchen.

Delicious, but make it sustainable.

Home cooking has always been the better option. Better for you, better for the planet. We want to keep it that way, so we did a life cycle assessment to choose the most sustainable packaging for our sauce. We learned that lightweight pouches have a significantly gentler environmental impact than glass or rigid plastic. Even if they’re not recycled.

Haven’s Kitchen Pouch

80%

Less water to produce

1

Truckload transports 76,860 filled

78%

Fewer carbon emissions

33%

Less impact on landfill

Glass Bottles and Jars

Producing and cooling glass bottles is a water-intensive process

26

Trucks needed to transport same volume of sauce in glass jars

Glass is resource intensive and heavy

Unfortunately, most glass ends up as MSW (municipal solid waste), not recycled or reused

Our pledge to a plastic neutral future.

We’re officially Net Zero Plastic Waste through our partnership with Plastic Credit Exchange (PCX), the world's first fully integrated plastic offset platform. For more information, visit the link below.

How it works
How it works

Less than 30% of what American consumers put in ‘recycling’ actually gets recycled.

Sad but true.

Municipal waste plants haven’t quite caught up with our environmental values. In the meantime, our pouches are 100% recyclable through our partnership with TerraCycle®.

Helping beyond the kitchen.

We believe in putting resources toward fighting inequity and hunger, especially in communities that have given us the flavors and ingredients we are so proud to feature. To that end, we donate 1% of gross profit to community-based anti-hunger, anti-racist organizations making sustainable and structural change.
