Cooking 101
These herby ham and cheese puffs come together in just 30 minutes! They're a quick and satisfying treat for any time of the day, or take them on the go!
Chef Tip: For a crispy and golden brown finish, ensure that your puff pastry squares are sealed tightly before baking. This helps retain the delicious filling and prevents any leakage during the baking process.
1 package puff pastry
6 slices deli ham
4 oz. gruyere cheese, grated
1 egg
Everything bagel seasoning
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Cut the puff pastry into 12 uniform squares, about 4 inches by 4 inches. Place one piece of folded ham, a sprinkling of cheese, and about a tablespoon of Herby Chimichurri in the center of 1 square. Brush the edges of the puff pastry square with water and cover with another puff pastry square, using a fork to seal the edges. Repeat 5 more times, making a total of 6 squares.
In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and 1 teaspoon of water. Brush the egg wash onto the top of each puff and sprinkle bagel seasoning over the top.
Bake until squares are puffed and golden brown, about 20 minutes. Allow to cool just slightly before serving.
