Chef Time: This recipe is a celebration of simple ingredients, so use local tomatoes and the best mozzarella you can find.
4 ripe tomatoes
8 oz ball of fresh mozzarella
1/4 cup fresh basil, roughly chopped
Salt and pepper, to taste
Slice heirloom tomatoes and mozzarella into 1/4-inch rounds; shingle on serving platter.
Season with salt and pepper.
