Tortellini with Simmered Tomatoes and Romesco

Dinner in 10 minutes? Yes, please. Our Romesco makes this easy tomato sauce taste like it has been simmering all day. Store-bought tortellini are a breeze to cook, we always have some on hand for quick lunches or dinners. Garnish with fresh herbs and parmesan for that extra pop of fresh and salty flavor, and you've got yourself a semi-homemade dream.

Chef Tip: Finish cooking the tortellini in the tomato and romesco mixture so they can absorb all that saucy goodness without overcooking. Take them out of the boiling water one minute or two earlier before the package’s cooking time, and place directly into the simmering sauce.


  • 1 20-oz package of cheese filled Tortellini

  • 1 can of crushed tomatoes

  • ¼ cup of white wine

  • 1 pouch of Haven’s Kitchen Red Pepper Romesco

  • Chili Flakes

  • Grated parmesan

  • Chopped Parsley for garnish



Bring a large pot of water to a boil, add salt. Once water comes to a boil, add the tortellini. Cook for 3 minutes


Meanwhile, bring the crushed tomatoes, white wine, and ¼ pouch of Romesco to a simmer


Once tortellini is cooked, strain, and let simmer in sauce for 1 minute. Top with red pepper flakes, grated parmesan, and chopped parsley
